Spiritual warfare and the best way to deal with it

I don’t deal with it anymore, usually. My work has been outsourced to a greater power - Christ.

Did you expect me to say something different? Sure, I run into the random situation, and may do a few things, but I could not bear the burden of all of it. Thankfully I’m a Christian, therefore most of my work is done for me.

Its a big draw! You might see folks from other religions spending hours at prayer each day, just to keep their head in the game and their soul safe. I’m not a big fan of that. I like to enjoy this world. I like to bounce around, doing whatever God draws me to do. Therefore, my sword stays in its sheath and my wings hang in the closet most of the time.

Take a moment to audit what you have in your arsenal. Then ask yourself why you need any of it. Is all that built up stuff really helping you? Or does your prayer regimen and bibles and crosses just take up space? The real action comes from inside you. The real progress is made in a subconscious way. You can do as much as you like, but you’ll never get past the point where you might get more done while you sleep. Sleeping is powerful! Peaceful rest is powerful! The enemy would rather you stay up all night, burdened by your stress from the day. So outsource what you can, and let your soul do the work while you sleep.

Take advantage of the tools around you. The bible is great, for sure, but even greater is quiet time. I used to spend a few HOURS in the JACUZZI each day. It did WONDERS for my tortured soul. After rest like that I was able to pop back into whatever conflict was around. Now, I don’t bother with either step. Other heavenly systems deal with it. I have “earned my wings” you might say. I don’t need to even do the little fighting that I do. And the fighting isn’t even fighting, it is more like reporting, explaining to God things here and there that might need attention. As I’ve told you before, He ALWAYS listens and He ALWAYS acts. You just might not understand it. Goodness knows I don’t always get it.

Take your day, slice it up into pieces, and then remove what time wasters are stuck in there. Insert more relaxing. The devil hates it when you relax. There is nothing he would like better than for you to be routinely stressed. Drop that problem by gaining more time, like I spoke of yesterday. Speed up your day by doing less. It really does work....guaranteed.

Spiritual warfare is a topic that can go on forever, because every religion and philosophy has their own opinions. In truth, it is just a matter of relaxation beating out stress. Most conflicts don’t go farther than that. If you can relax at the drop of a dime regardless of the problem....you are on the right track.
